Abstract
This paper presents the issue of decentralization of local taxation in Ukraine and steps to adapt this process to EU legislation. Based on the analysis of international legal acts ratified by Ukraine, the main ways of decentralization of local taxes are identified. Possible ways of improving the process of decentralization of local taxation in Ukraine are proposed.
