Decentralization: Global Experience and Its Meaning for Ukraine

Abstract
The article examines the world experience of decentralization, the study of which will make it possible to avoid mistakes that have been recurred in different countries, and will assist in using positive solutions for the acceleration of the decentralization process in Ukraine. The article analyzes the experience of countries from different continents in the decentralization process: Europe, Latin America and Asia. The authors of the article base their analysis on documentary sources, collections of documents, analytical materials of specialists from different countries, as well as from international organizations: the United Nations, the European Organization for Cooperation and Development, the United Cities and Local Governments, local government documents and state documents of Ukraine.
