Design and development of “ Man-Machine System ” training system based on scaffolding teaching method
Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 5
Abstract
Objective To design and develop a training system for classroom teaching based on the advanced smart classroom hardware platform and scaffolding teaching method of Air Force Medical University, aiming at the teaching content of the chapter “Human-Machine System” of “Human Factors Engineering” course. Methods The system was developed by Unity platform. Three functional modules of task introduction, interactive operation and video demonstration were designed according to the key and difficult points of teaching contents. Three tasks of machine layout, personnel preparation and combat resource allocation were built to form the knowledge scaffolding according to the characteristics of the man-machine system of ground-to-air missile. Results The training system realized the theoretical restoration of the operation of the man-machine system of ground-to-air missile, and gradually introduced the students perceptual common sense into rational cognition. The teaching contents covered the key knowledge points of the allocation of man-machine functions, and the arrangement of machines and human resources was designed interactively. The machine functions and personnel organization structure of the man-machine system of ground-to-air missile could be restored from the perspective of system engineers. Conclusion The development and application of this training system provides a flexible, vivid and easy-to-understand new means for the teaching of “Human Factors Engineering” and the use of smart classroom, which can effectively improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching.
