Design and Implementation of Fast- Lifting Based Wavelet Transform for Image Compression
Journal Title: The International Journal of Technological Exploration and Learning - Year 2014, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
The digital data can be compressed and retrieved using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Inverse Discrete wavelet Transform (IDWT). The medical images need to be compressed and retrieved without loosing of information. The Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is based on time-scale representation which provides efficient multi-resolution. This paper mainly describes the lifting based scheme gives lossless mode of information. The lifting based DWT and IDWT are having lower computational complexity and reduced memory requirement. Conventional convolution based DWT and IDWT are area and power hungry. These drawbacks can be overcome by using the lifting based scheme. This system adopts lifting based scheme DWT and IDWT which gives the lossless information of the data, reduces the complexity and optimized in area and power. In this research the DWT and IDWT are simulated and the design of hardware model is carried out using RTL level coding.

A Joint Design of Security and QOS Provisioning in MANET’s with Cooperative Communications
Cooperative communication has received tremendous interest for wireless networks. Most existing works on cooperative communications are focused on link-level physical layer issues. Consequently, the impacts of coopera...
Multichannel Allocation in Data Schemes using Data Mining(DMM) based Methodology for Multi Moving Nodes in Adhoc Computing System
In this paper, we present a new data mining algorithm which involves Data mining for multi moving nodes in a adhoc computing environment and quest the mining results to develop multichannel data allocation schemes so...
Reduce Scanning Process for Efficient Mining Tree in Association Rule Mining
The essential aspect of mining association rules is to mine the frequent patterns. Due to native difficulty it is impossible to mine complete frequent patterns from a dense database. FP-growth algorithm has been imple...
Advanced File Sharing in Peer to Peer Systems
File Sharing in Peer-to-Peer Networks are a tedious process. For a particular peer to access the files owned by other peer it has to recognize the details of the desired file. Whenever a peer requires a file, it trans...
Adaptive Non-Linear Bayesian Filter for ECG Denoising
The cycles of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal contain three components P-wave, QRS complex and the T-wave. Noise is present in cardiograph as signals being measured in which biological resources (muscle contraction...
