Design of a temperature regulator with high functionality

Abstract

Cost increase of energy resource and, respectively, building heating rates compels the consumer to look for ways of heating cost reduction. The economy of means can be achieved by reducing the amount of generated heat, so the use of specialized temperature controllers is urgent. It is known that during transition periods, namely at the beginning and at the end of a heating season, the consumer can receive excess heat because of variability of weather conditions. The purpose of this work is the construction of the temperature controller with sufficient functionality, which would cover the most part of possible applications. To solve this problem it is proposed to use the weather-compensated temperature controller based on microcontrollers, possessed all necessary functions for effective use in heating systems of different types of rooms. The block diagram of the device and the description of the main algorithms of its work are provided. The principle of task division between two microcontrollers was used, which simplifies program writing and increases the stability of controller operation.
