Design of Transformers
Journal Title: Acta Energetica - Year 2016, Vol 29, Issue 4
Abstract
In this paper the basic designing of high voltage power transformers has been described. The layout and construction of a high voltage and low voltage winding of transformers has been determined. The designing of a tank of transformers has also been considered.

Calculations of Short-Circuit Current Flows in Earth Wires of HV Lines
This paper presents a method which enables calculating flows of short-circuit currents in earth wires of high voltage transmission lines, and its implementation in the form of a computer programme. The algorithm enables...
Analysis of Technical Possibilities of Photovoltaic and Wind Sources Playing in an Ancillary Service of Frequency and Power Regulation
Together with a growing share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the generation sector of power systems, the interest of power grid operators in the possibilities of their use for regulation purposes is growing. The po...
Issues of Estimating the Maximum Distributed Generation at High Wind Power Participation
This paper presents the methods of estimating the maximum power that can be connected to the power system in distributed generation sources. Wind turbine generator systems (WTGS) were selected as the subject for analysis...
The Method of Multi-criteria Analysis to Support the Decision on Load or Micro-generation Connection to a Low- or Medium-voltage Power Grid
This paper presents a method that supports the decision in terms on selecting the best option of a load connection to a low- or medium-voltage power distribution grid, and of a micro-generation source connection to a low...
Application of the TETRA Wireless Communication System in the Power Industry
The article discusses the TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) wireless communication system in terms of its use in the power industry. It also discusses basic parameters of the system, its architecture, and possibilities o...
