DESIGNING ELECTROMAGNETIC SYSTEMS FOR PULLEY SEPARATORS. PART 4. DESIGNING ELECTROMAGNETIC PULLEYS WITH RATIONAL PARAMETERS (METHODOLOGY)

Abstract

Purpose. In the actual design of electromagnetic pulleys, it becomes necessary to select the best option for some criterion (or criteria). This leads to a complex problem of designing an electromagnetic pulley with rational parameters. Methodology. The criteria for choosing the best variant of the electromagnet system of the pulley separator are determined. This is the mass and cost of active materials, power consumption and economic effect. These criteria allow us to choose the best option from the combination of synthesis problems. Results. The analysis of methods of nonlinear programming for solving the optimization problem is carried out. It is established that the most acceptable methods for solving this problem are scanning methods. Originality. The application of the simple recourse method with a constant step for solving the corresponding problem is justified based on several criteria. Practical value. The solution of the optimization problem for determining the range of valid values of the arguments is searched. The method of its solution is proposed. The algorithm of multicriterial optimization of the electromagnetic pulley system and a subroutine for selecting the extreme value of the criterion are developed.
