Detecção da Variação Local do Campo Gravitacional da Terra, Relatividade e Aplicações

Abstract

The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow-On (GRACE-FO) space mission is a feasible approach to studying and monitoring various changes on Earth, including variations in polar ice, sea levels, distribution of terrestrial mass, tectonic plate movements, and ocean-atmosphere interaction. This bunch of information is essential for understanding climate change, the water cycle, ocean dynamics, and other phenomena related to the Earth system. The resolution of the data provided by GRACE-FO depends on the objective of the analysis. In general, the data have relatively high both spatial and temporal resolution, allowing for the detection of changes in the gravitational eld in dierent regions of the Earth over time. The combination of the GRACE-FO mission, the Theory of Relativity, and Applications in Society implies a multidisciplinary factor of great potential and importance.
