DETECTION OF GEAR TOOTH CHIPPING IN CASE OF OPERATING UNDER NON-STATIONARY ROTATIONAL SPEED

Abstract

The paper presents results of experimental research oriented on fault diagnostics in case gears operating at varying rotational speed. The researches have been carried out for gear with circulating power, the test stand. The method of processing vibration signals proposed in this paper, which is based (among others) on using linear interpolation makes it possible to acquire residual and differential signals in case of toothed gears operating at varying rotational speed and load. Analysis of obtained signals has proved useful in diagnosing of gear tooth top chipping.
