Determination of adequate concentrations of 2,4-D and 6-BAP for the induction of morphogenic calli of sweet potato
Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2003, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Tubers from Inivit B 90-1 and Yabú-8, cultivars were put in the laboratories into water bottle and we chose explants of limbs from sprout. Explants were disinfected with Sodium Hypoclorite (Na OCl) with active chlorine (1%) and they were put into Murashige and Skoog culture medium under different concentrations of 2,4-D independent and combined with 6-BAP in the culture medium. Crops were put on the energy illumination. The best results in four weeks at the morfogenic callus induction were obtained with the concentrations of 2,4-D (0.1 mg.l-1) and 2,4-D (0.1 mg.l-1) combined with BAP (0.2 mg.l-1) in the culture medium.

New protocol for the quick induction of adventitious buds and the regeneration of plants in banana cv. ‘Grande naine’ (Musa AAA)
A protocol for the quick formation of adventitious buds in banana cv. ‘Grande Naine’ and the development of plants was developed. Several concentrations of 6-Benzylaminopurine (6-BAP) and 1-phenyl-3-(-1,2,3-thidiazol-5-y...
Evaluation of tolerance to Finale ® in germination and regeneration in vitro of two Cuban varieties of rice (IACuba-17 and IACuba-19)
Selection agent used during the shoot selection has an important role on the transgenic plant generation efficiency. In this work, the tolerance to the herbicide Finale ® in two Cuban rice cultivars, IACuba17 and IACub...

Predicting the affinity of A 2A adenosine receptor antagonists using decision trees
Neurodegenerative diseases are being treated by modulating adenosine receptors with more effective, safe and selective antagonists. The objective of the study was to develop a methodology to obtain classification models...
Effect of adenine sulphate in the regeneration and elongation of common bean shoots
Plant regeneration and its further development of these are critical steps in tissue culture of Phaseolus vulgaris. The paper shows the effect of adenine sulfate included in the culture media on regeneration and elonga...
