Journal Title: WORLD JOURNAL PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE - Year 2019, Vol 8, Issue 8

Abstract

Objective: Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is a deadly infectious infectious disease if not treated immediately. Doxycycline is the antibiotic of choice used for the treatment of ARI treatment. Cases of resistance to antibiotic use have been reported in the city of Tasikmalaya. This study aims to identify bacteria that can complement the microbiological profile that can support the effective handling of antibiotic cases of doxycycline. Methods: Determination of genus from bacteria in clinical isolates using the method of the morphology of isolates, gram staining, biochemical testing. Results: The results of identification of bacteria in clinical isolates of patients showed that the bacteria genus Haemophilus, Bordetella, Corynebacterium, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus, Bordetella were resistant to doxycycline antibiotics.
