DETERMINATION OF RATIONAL CONDITIONS FOR FORMATION OF A WATER-ICE JET FLOW WITH THE SETTING OF ITS CUTTING PROPERTIES

Abstract
Purpose. To present the results of theoretical and experimental studies of the production of an icy jet by means of its intensive cooling by introducing a cryogenic liquid (nitrogen) into the mixing chamber. Methodology. The compara-tive analysis method has been used. An original method for determining the fractional composition of ice particles is proposed, and their mass is estimated. The effect of the formation conditions of the water-ice jet on its cutting properties has been established. Results. The regularities of the change in the intensity of heat transfer in the zasoploid space have been determined, the dependence of the temperature of the ice particles on the conditions for their generation has been shown. The fractograms of the generated ice flow are obtained, their functional conditionality is determined by the generation regimes and the parameters of the mixing chamber. Originality. For the first time shows, that along with the flow of the cryogenic liquid (liquid nitrogen), the geometry of the mixing chamber also has an important influence on the cutting properties. It has been established that the position of the point of introduction of nitrogen into the saline space determines not only the amount of ice formed, but also the particle size. Practical value. The following pro-cessing has been recommended for improving the cryogenic water-jet system; functional conditionality has been deter-mined by the generation regimes and the parameters of the mixing chamber.
