Determination of the complexity of bus routes under operating conditions

Abstract

Technical operation, as a subsystem of road transport, significantly influence the efficiency of the transportation process and requires constant perfection, namely due to objective rationing (adjustment) of performance on the route, taking into account the operating conditions of rolling stock. For a detailed analysis of the speed and fuel efficiency of the bus, when working on urban routes, it is very useful to experimentally calculate the research method, which involves obtaining experimental baseline data and using them for appropriate calculations through certain criteria of complexity of the bus route. An important factor for the perfect rationing of fuel consumption in urban passenger transport should be considered the operating conditions of the vehicle, which implies primarily road conditions and driving conditions, which have a major impact on fuel consumption and the average speed of the vehicle. The initial indicators of the bus (average speed, fuel consumption) on urban routes are quite low, despite the flat character of the roads. This is due to unfavorable urban traffic conditions (too low allowed speed, high number of obstacles, frequent stops, unstable driving conditions, high use of low transmission levels, etc.), which indicates the need to take into account when developing routes of significant impact on their average speed, fuel consumption and other driving parameters. Theoretical and experimental development of a method for estimating the complexity of bus routes, their classification based on collecting information about the work of a bus on a line, will make it possible to anticipate and adjust fuel consumption when performing the transportation process on routes. A technology is proposed for determining the complexity index of the urban bus route, which is based on the developed mathematical model of the parameters of the complexity of urban bus traffic, choosing the most significant ones and specifying the classification based on them, determining the degree of influence of each of the factors.
