Research of the stress condition of cast billets blade chisel

Abstract
Models of a drill bit and a mold were developed. Melted steel pouring process was studied. Residual stresses distributions for different sections of a blade bit were studied. The highest residual stresses were observed in the billet’s grooves between blades. Annealing as a mean of residual stresses decreasing of a cast billet was proposed.
