Determination of the Material Relative Permittivity in the UHF Band by Using T and Modified Ring Resonators
Journal Title: International Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications - Year 2016, Vol 62, Issue 2
Abstract
The complete methodology of designing T- and modified ring resonators in the UHF band are presented in the paper. On the basis of proposed algorithms, the dedicated software tool has been elaborated in order to determine material parameters of contemporary substrates. The program is implemented in the Mathcad environment and it includes the base of information on known materials used in electronic products. Also, test sample series for selected substrate materials (IS680, FR408, I-SPEED PCB ISOLA and A6-S LTCC FERRO) and operating frequencies from 1 GHz to 3 GHz are analyzed in details. The special test stand with a vector network analyzer has been applied in experiments. The obtained data of relative permittivity measurements and model calculations are described, discussed and concluded.

Practical Aspects of Physical and MAC Layer Security in Visible Light Communication Systems
Visible light communication (VLC) has been recently proposed as an alternative standard to radio-based wireless networks. Originally developed as a physical media for PANs (Personal area Networks) it evolved into univers...
Operator o and analysis of harmonic distortion
It has been shown that the description of mildly nonlinear circuits with the use of an operator o introduced by Meyer and Stephens in their paper published more than forty years ago was flawed. The problem now with their...
Method for Filling and Sharpening False Colour Layers of Dual Energy X-ray Images
An X-ray scanning and image processing have a vast range of applications in the security. An image of a content of some package being passed for example to an airplane or to the court house may help to figure out if the...
Hierarchical Fast Selection of Intraframe Prediction Mode in HEVC
In the new HEVC standard, there are 35 intraframe prediction modes. Therefore, real-time implementations need fast mode pre-selection to reduce the computational load of cost comparison for individual modes. In this pape...
An analysis of Chosen Image Formation Algorithms for Synthetic Aperture Radar with FMCW
The modelling of FMCW SAR systems, due to long signal duration time, commonly used start-stop approximation for pulsed radars causes errors in the image. Continuous motion of the radar platform results in additional rang...
