Determining the effect of amount and supplying method of Zinc sulfate on Wheat protein
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 5, Issue 8
Abstract
Regarding the protein deficiency in Wheat cultivar Rowshan in Bam, in order to enrichment the cultivar, this experiment was conducted using factorial RCBD with 4 replications. Factor A was soil supplying (4 amounts: 0, 20, 40, 60 Kg/ha) and factor B was spraying with solution (5 ppm of the fertilizer) on leaves (3 times: no spraying, 1 timeand 2 times of spraying) of Zinc sulfate fertilizer. Some important agronomic wheat attributes such as yield and protein percentage were measured. It was observed that fertilizer soil application improved grain yield and protein percentage, but fertilizer spraying supplied Zinc for plants better. It is observed that soil application could not supply the plant needs to Zinc, lonely. The highest yield and protein percentage achieved by soil application of 40 (Kg/ha) fertilizer together with one time spraying of the fertilizer on leaves.
