DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTIGATION OF A MICROPROCESSOR-BASED SYSTEM FOR DIESEL ENGINE OPERATING ON A DIESEL-GAS CYCLE

Abstract
One way to expand the diesel fuel base is to use compressed natural gas as a motor fuel. By KPI named after Igor Sikorsky and National Transport University a diesel-gas microprocessor-based system was created. This system with help of the pilot dose setting mechanism provides value of the pilot dose when diesel engine operates on the diesel-gas cycle. On the experimental car with the developed microprocessor system the smokiness of the exhaust gases was studied. They have shown a significant reduction in the smokiness of diesel exhaust gases when working on a diesel-gas cycle.
