Journal Title: Journal of Computing and Innovation - Year 2018, Vol 2, Issue 1

Abstract

Computers have become part of everyday life. It has entered into all aspects of life, by providing services, improving the quality of life, and increased communication and relationships (Bahari, 2017). Computers have become an essential aspect of an organization. It has been used to enhance the quality and timeliness of organizational intelligence and decision making, thus promoting organizational performance (by Dewett, & Jones, 2001). Monitoring attendance, financial accountabilities, and checking students record in an organization has never been an easy task. DIGITS Integrated System was developed to automate the monitoring and checking of attendance, transaction records such as fees and fines, student clearance and financial report in the DIGITS organization of Leyte Normal University. DIGITS Integrated System development anchored to iterative waterfall model which follows the phases of system development life cycle. Surveys and interviews were used to gather data from the respondents. A total of 436 respondents enrolled in the first semester of the school year 2015-2016 who answered the survey questionnaire. Purposive sampling was used to determine respondents who tested the system for evaluation. Results showed that the system developed is entirely acceptable which means that the system developed met all the required module specification by the organization.
