DEVELOPMENT OF ELONGATE CHARGES TECHNOLOGY FOR BLOCK STONE PRODUCTION

Abstract
Purpose. To develop a technology for obtaining the low-energy systems for extended charges by determining the technological parameters of the production stages, such as drying, milling, screening, mixing, making of a shell of polymer material and direct charge of charges. Methodology. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used in the work: a complex analysis - for generalization and analysis of the achievements of theory and practice in the field of block stone extraction, statistical analysis - for the processing of energy and detonation characteristics of the developed heterogeneous systems research results. Results. The technological parameters of obtaining low-energy systems based on potassium perchlorate are determined, namely, the parameters of such operations as preparation of components: drying, grinding, sifting, mixing of components, manufacturing of polymeric membranes and directly the manufacture of elongated tubular charges. The influence of initial components’ dispersion of on the operational characteristics of the explosive composition has been established. It has been determined that the dispersion of the initial potassium perchlorate and decomposition catalyst should not exceed 100 microns. The dependence of the critical detonation diameter on the particles size of the systems main component is presented. The choice of equipment for condensed systems based on potassium perchlorate is grounded. As a shell material, a polymer composition based on PEFT 15803-020 and a method of extrusion formation of the cylindrical base of K-pipes for the reflection of block stone was chosen. On the basis of the conducted researches the technological scheme of manufacture of heterogeneous condensed systems on the basis of potassium perchlorate with the parallel manufacture of shells in the form of tubes, as well as directly the equipment of elongated charges is offered. Originality. For the first time, the dependences of the critical detonation diameter and the detonation speed from potassium perchlorate dispersion have been determined by the production of prototypes with different dispersion of potassium perchlorate and the determination of their explosive properties. On the basis of the conducted researches the technological scheme of heterogeneous condensed systems manufacture on the basis of potassium perchlorate with the parallel manufacture of shells in the form of tubes, as well as directly the equipment of elongated charges has been offered. Practical value. A method for manufacturing an explosive composition has been developed, a polymer composition for the formation of longitudinal tubes and technology for the elongated charges formation for the extraction of block stone have been selected.
