Abstract
The article deals with the development of higher pedagogical education in Grait Britain at the beginning of the XXI century. Two basic approaches of training of pedagogical personnel are revealed. A number of interrelated components are covered during the preparation of a teacher. It shows what reforms are taking place in Grait Britain for the entire period of education development. In Grait Britain, a number of higher school reforms are ongoing throughout the education process: there is a unified structure of higher education; obtaining the status of colleges of universities that gave the right to award academic degrees and titles; the approval of new structures: the Council for the Quality of Higher Education (or the Council of Rectors of Universities) and the Quality Evaluation Unit (a state organization that examines the quality of subjects); obtaining the right to award degrees to non-university educational institutions; improvement of the work of the magistracy and doctorate; expanding access to higher education of the adult population of the country; development of criteria for obtaining university status, simplification of this procedure; improvement of the quality of training of specialists, organization of external control over the quality of their training - by improving the work of the national audit body.In Grait Britain, during the reforms of pedagogical education at the end of the XXth to the beginning of the XXI century, the emphasis on practical training, enhancement of functional literacy, and the acquisition of information and communication technologies was emphasized in the training of teachers. It should be noted that distance education is actively developing in British universities. As the analysis of scientific works has shown, European countries have realized the need for cooperation and integration in the solution of domestic problems. In documents adopted during international conferences, education is seen as a sphere of common interests, where mutual understanding between states and citizens can be achieved. Following this, European countries began educational reforms, with a chain of openness to their educational systems and the formation of a unified European educational space.
