Abstract

In the article, we have formulated the aims of the development of intellectual capabilities, needed for the future doctors and pharmacists for the formation of the information technology competence (the IT-competence) while teaching them the disciplines which constitute the natural science training cycle using the module technologies and training them in profession-targeted activities which are related to the awareness of necessity of formation of the IT-competence in the process of professional training, development of attention in the process of acquisition of knowledge, abilities and skills during the process of the IT-competence formation while studying the disciplines of the natural science training cycle, development of logical thinking, information technology literacy and culture in the process of the IT-competence formation while teaching / learning the disciplines constituting the natural science training cycle. The features of the specially developed teaching methodological support have been noted, manuals in particular, which are authors’ elaborations as well as constituents of the corresponding teaching methodological complexes, with the help of which these aims were achieved in Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in the process of teaching the disciplines of the natural science training cycly. It has been found out that the future specialists’ intellectual capabilities are improved in the process of the IT-competence formation while teaching them the disciplines which constitute the natural science training cycle using the module technologies due to the principle of cognitive visualization the implementation of which is provided by the symbol and graphics methods of presentation of educational information mainly in specially developed manuals. It has been concluded, that the graphic image (the samples of solution of the educational practical tasks, as well as the tasks of the control and course works (projects) which are given in the designated manuals) can be considered as the instrument of direct influence on intuition of the subjects of the educational process. The rank structure of the factors which determine the efficiency of the use of the module technologies for the development of the intellectual capabilities of the future doctors and pharmacists in the process of their IT-competence formation while teaching them the disciplines of the natural science training cycle has been established. We have characterized the psychological and pedagogical conditions needed for the implementation of the module technologies with the purpose of developing future specialists’ intellectual capabilities whose IT-competence is formed in the process of teaching them the disciplines of natural science training cycle; their rank structure has been created. We have elaborated the model of the development of the future doctors and pharmacists’ intellectual capabilities in the process of their IT-competence formation while teaching them the disciplines of natural science training cycle with the use of the module technologies. In this model, the development of the intellectual capabilities of a future doctor or pharmacist enables the achievement of the corresponding aims, and alsoalonside with the activity of the faculty members and subjects of the educational process, which provides the possession of the intellectual capabilities of high level for a future doctor or pharmacist. On the results of experimental research, the efficiency of the developed model has been proven during the development of the future specialists’ intellectual capabilities in the process of their IT-competence formation while teaching them the disciplines of natural science training cycle.
