Journal Title: International Journal of Clinical Therapeutics and Diagnosis (IJCTD) - Year 2013, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) deficiency occurs primarily as a result of insufficient dietary intake or poor absorp-tion. There is widespread global prevalence of vitamin B12 deficiency, resulting in considerable morbidity [1]. Anemia is the most common presenting feature of vi-tamin B12 deficiency but it can also present with a vari-ety of neurologic and psychiatric manifestations in the absence of anemia. This list of presentations contin-ues to expand

Molecular Mechanisms, Expression and Clinical Role of ErbB Receptors in Endometrial Cancer
The epidermal growth factor system (EGF System) is present in various human organs. It has 4 receptors (EGFR, ErbB-2, ErbB-3 and ErbB-4) and numerous ligands. Especially in cancer, the epidermal growth factor system sign...
Picroside II Diminishes Oxidative Stress Induced By Cerebral Ischemic Injury In Rats
Objective: To optimize the therapeutic dose and time window of picrosede II in cerebral ischemic injury in rats by orthogonal test. Methods The forebrain ischemia model was established by a bilateral common carotid arter...
Intra-stent Coronary Perforation: A Race against Time
Coronaric perforation, while representing fortunately a rare complication (incidence among 0.2–0.6 %), it is burdened by a high mortality rate if not properly and promptly treated. We report the case of an intra-stent co...
Hungry Bone Syndrome Associated with Transient Hypoparathyroidism
We report on an infant who presented at 50 days old of age with hypocalcemic seizure, who proved to have transient hypoparathyroidism, biochemically. During the course of his therapy, he developed severe hungry bone synd...
ErbB Targeted Therapy in Endometrial Cancer
The potential role of ErbB receptors (especially EGFR and ErbB-2) as targets for cancer therapy has been investigated for over 30 years. Anti-ErbB monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) bind to the extracellular domain of EGFR or...
