DIALOGUE OF THE CENTURIES IN THE «CHORAL CONCERTО IN MEMORY OF ARTEMIY VEDEL» BY SVITLANA OSTROVA ON THE GRYGORY SKOVORODA'S TEXTS

Abstract
The "Choral concert in memory of Artemiy Vedel" by Svitlana Ostrova on the texts of Grygory Skovoroda (1988) is considered. The "presence" of the names of two Ukrainian brilliant sons in the work defined the research aspect – the analysis of the concerto's artistic concept in the context of the dialogue of the centuries. The important dramaturgic solutions from the general concept of the work were analyzed. It is shown that there is actually a polylogue in the concerto, and not only with G. Skovoroda and A. Vedel, because there are instantaneous allusions to the other styles and works in the music as well. It is noted that a dialogicality in the sense of appeal to the past epochs is a characteristic feature of contemporary composer's creativity, in particular in the field of Ukrainian choral music. It is emphasized that the choral concert by S. Ostrova is a decisive thing for her further creativity considering a number of individual style features of the latter.
