DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF ACHALASIA OF THE ESOPHAGUS

Abstract
The diagnosis experience of 89 patients with achalasia of the esophagus aged from 18 till 80 years is presented. There were 5 patients with the first stages of diseases, 18 patients with the second stage, 49 patients with the third stage of disease, 17 patients with the fourth stage of disease. The diagnostic tactic of esophageal achalasia with radiologic, endoscopic, morphological methods and express pH-metry are estimated. Contrast fluoroscopy esophagus and stomach can establish the diagnosis and stage of esophageal achalasia in 100% of cases. Differential diagnosis and timely treatment in the early stages of the disease gives good immediate and long- term results.
