DISTRIBUTION OF LOAD BETWEEN MULTI-CORE PROCESSORS FOR PROBLEMS TAKING PLACE IN MEASURING INFORMATION NETWORKS

Abstract
The problem of energy conservation for mobile objects of a wireless power independent measuring information network (WPEIMN) is formulated. The ways to solve this problem by means of optimizing the load on the processor (CPU) are considered. Proposed algorithms have reduced the load coefficient by 27% and, accordingly, the power consumption of the WPEIMN object by 1.5% via efficiently dividing tasks between the processor cores. Also the necessary clock frequency to perform these tasks is selected (the process of processor’s speed scaling). The expediency and efficiency of using the proposed algorithms is proved by experimental studies of the dividing of tasks between the cores of another 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The mathematical model of dispatching tasks of multiprocessor systems that was used to divide tasks between the cores of a single-chip computer was modern-ized. Software and hardware controls for the elements of accumulation and control of secondary energy converters have been devel-oped, which made it possible to optimally redistribute the energy between the nodes of the measuring device. The proposed algo-rithms and technical solutions make it possible to increase energy efficiency and extend the life of the WPEIMN modules for monitor-ing tasks using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
