ECO-INNOVATIONS AS A WAY TO BUILD A GREEN ECONOMY IN THE EU

Abstract
The article analyzes the experience of the development of eco-innovation of the European Union countries in the process of implementing the concept of "green" economy in modern conditions of the formation of a new technological formation of the world. The areas of application of eco-innovation and the tools used to stimulate the development of green technologies and eco-innovation sectors of the economy are analyzed by EU countries; considered the financial component of ecoinnovation development. The effect of eco-innovation on resource efficiency, the development of eco-industry and its employment, the structure of production and consumption of energy in EU countries is determined. The role of the state is defined in the construction of a national eco-innovation system as a significant factor in the transition to a green economy, ensuring high competitiveness and protecting the environment.
