ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENY: ESSENCE AND APPROACHES TO ITS DEFINITION

Abstract
The article introduces the results of the research concerning the clarification of the definition of «ecological and economic efficiency» through specification of the conceptual category «efficiency». An attempt was made to suggest own definition of this concept. The prospects of further studies in this field were identified, namely the substantiation of the method of determining of ecological and economic efficiency in adoption of resource-saving technology and alternative energy sources.
