ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABLE LAND USE IN HUMAN SETTLEMENTS

Abstract
Introduction. The issue regarding the organization sustainable use of land settlements is part of public policy emphasizes the need to study the system of land tenure in terms of land reform aimed at combining the principles of economic development and compliance with environmental requirements. Methods. The methodological basis of the study is general theoretical methods of scientific knowledge, fundamental provisions and principles of land use and environmental economics, agricultural economics. Results. Theoretical foundations essence of the concept of land settlements and areas of land relations in settlements are substantiated. The main environmental and economic characteristics of land use in the settlements as a dynamic process of distribution of productive forces and objects of different functions with the appropriate interconnect system to meet the needs of society are determined. It is proposed to take into account the coefficient of ecological stability of the territory in the organization of sustainable land use in settlements. Discussion. Effective management in land use depends directly on achieving rational management decisions, which can reach only through the creation of detailed development plans of populated areas, requiring more detailed researches and studies.
