ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF OPERATIONS AND COMPETITIVENESS MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURAL FIRMS

Abstract
The paper scrutinizes primary aspects and problems of competitiveness management with regard to agricultural firms. The author describes the origin of competition in the agriculture. One of the paragraphs elaborates on the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. The paper places an emphasis on government regulation of agricultural production and promotion. The author underlines the key value of economic efficiency for the competitiveness of agricultural firms. Overall, economic efficiency of agricultural companies relies on the relations between semantic data about an object and its dimensional characteristics, which help to link a spatial model to the appropriate statistic information and economic indices, quality control systems and product standardization processes.
