EDUCAÇÃO, DESENVOLVIMENTO ESPIRITUAL E SUPERAÇÃO DO USO DE DROGAS NA INFÂNCIA E ADOLESCÊNCIA: ALGUMAS POSSIBILIDADES PARA O AVANÇO DAS PESQUISAS

Abstract
Based on the compelling narrative of Esmeralda do Carmo Ortiz, this article proposes to discuss the possibility of a pedagogical understanding of the right to spiritual development as a potential for resilience and as a protective factor against illicit drug use in childhood and adolescence. This discussion considers a possible articulation of basic education institutions with social institutions that develop socio-pedagogical models for preventing and overcoming drug use, from the perspective of strengthening spirituality. It also highlights the school as a privileged space for social promotion, prevention and protection of children and adolescents. It proposes to conceptualize, on reasonable terms, what is the faith that allows a thinking about itself, and, from these concepts, it seeks to define spirituality. Furthermore, it supports the need for more research involving this issue. For that, it presents a review of the academic literature and legislation, as well as a quantification of the academic production of the area of Education.
