Effect of Emotional Intelligence And Achievement Motivation on Academic

Abstract

he present study is to assess the effect of emotional intelligence and achievement motivation on academic achievement of BTC students. For this purpose 160 subjects (80 male and 80 female) were selected with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was made with standardized tools including Emotional Intelligence Scale developed by Hyde, Pethe and Dhar and Achievement Motivation test was developed and standardized by Bhargava. Data was analyzed using statistics like mean, standard deviation and Analysis of Variance. Obtained result suggested that emotional intelligence and achievement motivation significantly influence the academic achievement of BTC students.
