Effect of Flight Forbidden Area on Sector Dynamic Capacity

Abstract
In order to make use of the aerospace resource reasonably and improve the operational efficiency and safety of air traffic, the sector dynamic capacity was studied. The definition of the flight forbidden area ( FFA) was presented according to the airspace three-dimensional structure. And then the model of the effects of flight forbidden area on sector dynamic capacity was set up based on the coverage condition of FFA on sector structure. The simulation analysis results of Xi'an NO. 02 sector show that the longer distance from divert point to en-route is, the less sector dynamic capacity is. The less controllers experience is, the less sector dynamic capacity is. The longer distance between neighbouring airplanes is, the less sector dynamic capacity is.
