Effective competency management as a prerequisite of shaping a competitive advantage of the organization

Abstract
In knowledge economy the competitiveness of the organization is no longer determined by investments in tangible resources. Today, in the new economic reality, the functioning of the organization is increasingly affected by unconventional measures involving the use of skills and competencies, which are used to effectively deal with a rapidly changing environment. In this article an accent was put on the issue of competitiveness of an organization that focuses on creating a competitive advantage based on core competencies.
