EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY (REGIONAL ASPECT)

Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the article is the development of mechanisms and strategies for management of innovative activity by optimizing approaches to the selection of innovative projects and improving evaluation of innovative projects to meet the requirements of economic profitability. Methodology of research. The following general scientific methods are used during the study, including: methods of theoretical generalization – to study theoretical foundations and current approach to innovation process for management of innovative activity at the regional level; systematic approach – to optimize approaches to the selection of innovative projects to programs of innovation development; methods of analysis and synthesis – to improve evaluation of innovative projects in accordance with the standards of economic regions. Finding. The directions of improving the efficiency of innovation management at the regional level are substantiated. The strategy and the mechanism to implement innovative capacity through the optimization of approaches to the selection of innovative projects are formed. The evaluation of innovative projects of regional innovation programs and monitoring of their implementation stages depending on levels of development and monitoring of the program is proposed. The system of indicators in the context of each phase of the development and monitoring of programs, enabling evaluation of innovative processes in accordance with established criteria. Originality. Methodical recommendations on forming innovative programs in regions that unlike existing procedure involve selection of innovative projects depending on the predicted effects are improved. Evaluation of innovative projects at various stages of the program, which allows systematically monitor their effectiveness and timely adjust if necessary. Practical value. The obtained results of research can be used in the formation of innovative development programs in regions and monitoring of their implementation.
