EFFECTIVE REGULATION OF SEED MARKET IN KRASNODAR TERRITORY

Abstract
In 2015 the cost of imported seed grew by 18-26%. The popular seeds of corn, sunflower, sugar beet, vegetable cultures are mostly imported to Russian Federation. In order to change the situation it is planned to build new selection centers, hybridization centers and also to facilitate the work of scientific-research institutions and agrarian higher educational establishments in Krasnodar territory. The output of original and basic seeds of sugar beet, corn, vegetable cultures has decreased lately which can be explained by some objective reasons: sharp reduction of financing the selection-seed-growing process, reduction of area under sugar beet, liquidation of insurance funds of native hybrids seeds that very often can be falsified. To solve the topical issues of seed market it is necessary to form a network of seed-growing companies and provide preferential long-term crediting to renovate their facilities and support scientific research of selection branch.
