EFFECTIVENESS OF DOUBLE ANTIVIRAL THERAPY AND DYNAMICS OF LIFE QUALITY INDICATORS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEPATITIS C, DEPENDING ON THE RESPONSE TO TREATMENT

Abstract
Th e eff ectiveness of double antiviral therapy received by patients with chronic hepatitis C as a part of the State program in the Zaporizhzhia region has been analyzed. Th e most diffi cult category of patients, including patients with liver fi brosis F of the 3-4 degrees (50.9 %) and patients with extrahepatic manifestations (17.6 %) dominated. Th e eff ectiveness of double antiviral therapy by assessment of a virologic response on the 24th week aft er completion of treatment constituted 39.1% in patients infected with genotype 1 and 76.6 % in patients infected with 2 or 3 HCV genotype. Antiviral therapy, under conditions of a stable virologic response, was accompanied by improved (p<0.05) parameters of general health, physical functioning, physical role functioning, bodily pain, emotional role functioning, vitality and mental health, in contrast to patients who did not respond to treatment or had relapse in the fi rst six months of monitoring.
