EFFECTIVENESS OF EVALUATION METHODS OF THE GEOMETRICAL CONDITION AND BEARING SUPPORT OF EXTRA-LARGE CRANKSHAFTS
Journal Title: Journal of Machine Construction and Maintenance - Year 2018, Vol 108, Issue 1
Abstract
The article presents an overview of known and used measurement methods on the basis of which the geometrical state of the design and bearing support of extra-large crankshafts is evaluated. These methods were evaluated both in terms of the correctness of their implementation and the interpretation of results. The article also presents a new concept of a device that permits the evaluation of the condition of the shaft bearing on the basis of measurements of the deformation of crank webs using the symmetrical method.

SUBSYSTEM OF POSITIONING THE ACTUATOR FOR AN ELECTRONIC DIESEL CONTROL SYSTEM
The authors proposed the concept of the synthesis of the algorithm for the electronic diesel controller (EDC), based on the analogy with the operation of a mechanical spring-lever governor of direct action. The system of...
MODELLING STEEL BEAMS FILLED WITH A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Modelling of structural elements using materials with significantly different parameters is a demanding issue, mainly due to the possibilities of commercial computing software. The paper presents a method of modelling th...
FATIGUE LIFE ASSESSMENT WITH THE USE OF THE SPECTRAL METHOD FOR NON-GAUSSIAN LOADING HISTORIES WITH THE USE OF THE ENERGY PARAMETER
The objective of the paper is to calculate fatigue life with the use of the spectral method for 10HNAP steel under non-Gaussian loading conditions with the use energy parameter and non-Gaussian correction. The energy par...
COATING TExTILES WITH ANTIBACTERIAL NANOPARTICLES USING THE SONOCHEMICAL TECHNIQUE
This chapter reviews the research on antibacterial functionalization of textiles with inorganic nanoparticles (Ag, MgO, Al2O3) by the sonochemical method. Sonochemistry is one of the most efficient techniques for the syn...
LOADS EXPERIENCED BY LOAD-BEARING COMPONENTS OF MINE HOIST INSTALLATIONS DUE TO RANDOM IRREGULARITIES AND MISALIGNMENTS OF THE GUIDE STRING
Report data from periodic overhauls of skips and cages operated in one underground mine in Poland indicate that the majority of registered defects of load-bearing elements include broken wires and cracks developing in lo...
