EFFECTIVENESS OF EVALUATION METHODS OF THE GEOMETRICAL CONDITION AND BEARING SUPPORT OF EXTRA-LARGE CRANKSHAFTS
Journal Title: Journal of Machine Construction and Maintenance - Year 2018, Vol 108, Issue 1
Abstract
The article presents an overview of known and used measurement methods on the basis of which the geometrical state of the design and bearing support of extra-large crankshafts is evaluated. These methods were evaluated both in terms of the correctness of their implementation and the interpretation of results. The article also presents a new concept of a device that permits the evaluation of the condition of the shaft bearing on the basis of measurements of the deformation of crank webs using the symmetrical method.

IMPACT OF MACHINING CONDITIONS ON EXPLOITAION STABILITY OF THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE SCINTILLATORS
The paper presents research results on the degradation of scintillators made out of thermoplastic composite materials based on polystyrene (PS). The samples were machined with the tools made out of three different materi...
THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT SURFACE TREATMENTS OF 316L STEEL ON ADHESIVE JOINT STRENGTH
The present paper examines selected strength test results of adhesive joints of 316L steel after different types of surface treatment. The analysis focuses on the effect of surface layer treatment on the value of selecte...
OPERATION OF BRIQEETTING ROLLER PRESSES WITH AN ASYMMETRICAL COMPACTION UNIT
The key issue in the briquetting process in a roll press is to properly customise the working surface. The conventional symmetrical compaction units employed in roller presses are often unsuitable for the con...
