EFFECTS OF THE CONTENT OF AW AND EP ADDITIVES ON TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF LUBRICANTS
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2013, Vol 252, Issue 6
Abstract
The article presents a statistical analysis of the research results concerning the influence of the commercial AW and EP additives on the tribological properties of a lubricant that was produced based on ester oil. The research utilized in methods for planning experiments for mixtures with limitations to identify the impact of commercial AW and EP additives on the tribological properties of the lubricant that was produced on the basis of ester oil. The experiments were conducted with the use of a four-ball machine. The tribological properties of lubricants were assessed based on a limiting load of the wear (Goz) and limiting pressure of seizure (poz). The influence of the additives’ content on the poz and Goz parameters was estimated. Based on the obtained results, statistically significant regression models of these relationships were developed.
