Emotional Intelligence and Locus of Control as Predictors of Burnout among middle School Teachers

Abstract
This study examined relationships of emotional intelligence and locus of control on burnout among middle school of Bandar Abbas teachers. stratified random sampling technique was employed in selecting two hundred and forty (240) teachers from sixteen middle schools. data were collected by three instruments namely, Emotional Intelligence, Locus of Control and Teacher Burnout Scales. Three hypotheses were tested and multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The results indicated that emotional intelligence and locus of control, significantly predicted burnout. The relative contributions of each variable revealed that both emotional intelligence and locus of control significantly predicted burnout among middle school teachers.
