EMPIRICAL STUDIES OF CIVIC PERSONALITY TRAITS AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN A MULTICULTURAL REGION

Abstract
The article discusses the main approaches to identify the level of formation of civic-mindedness among high school students in a multicultural region based on the system components of activity, certain indicators of the criteria and manifestations of each of the features (patriotism, tolerance, activity, criticality). The results of the ascertaining stage of the pedagogical experiment are presented on the basis of the author’s question naireaimed at the realization of the research objective. The results of diagnostics of complex interrelated methods of empirical research (“Whoam I?” Technique (M. Kuhn, T. MacPartland); method for measuring the expression of ethnic identity (J. Feeney); a school question naire for studying the ethnic identity of adolescents (A. Romanova); a question naire for determining the level of civic competence (V. Borisov); a question naire for determining the general level of manifestation of a culture of democracy (G. Nazarenko); adapted question naires for sociological research.
