ENDOTHELIUM DEPENDENT AND ENDOTHELIUM INDEPENDENT REGULATION OF VESSELS IN PATIENTS WITH SYSTEMIC LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS WITH THE CLASSIC RISK FACTORS OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS

Abstract
The state of endothelium dependent vasodilation (EDVD) and endothelium independent vasodilation in 100 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), depending on the presence of traditional risk factors of atherosclerosis was investigated. In patients with SLE more profound dysfunction of the endothelium and smooth muscle cells of the vascular wall are associated first of all with age, presence of hypertension, diabetes and obesity, while gender, family history of CVD, dyslipoproteinemia and smoking have less significant value. There is a medium return correlation between the values of EDVD and age of patients.
