Error estimation of activity measurement of deN2O catalyst in Zielinski-type reactor

Abstract

In order to determine reaction rate constant k for catalyst (which describes catalyst activity), it is necessary to carry out number of direct measurements, which results in measurement error propagation to the final result. The article presents an estimation of result uncertainty based on the classical differential formula for studying an exemplary nitrous oxide decomposition iron-aluminum catalysts. The maximum error of determination of physical quantity, which is a function of direct measurements of several independent variables, can be estimated using a modified formula for total differential. The article presents application of error calculus for evaluation of determination accuracy of reaction rate constant for the nitrous oxide decomposition using an ironaluminum catalyst.
