Eski Asurca Kaynaklara Göre Asur-Anadolu İlişkilerinde Hahhum Krallığı'nın Önemi

Journal Title: Archivum Anatolicum-Anadolu Arsivleri - Year 2018, Vol 12, Issue 2

Abstract

The Importance of Hahhum Kingdom in the Relationships Between Assur and Anatolia According to the Old Assyrian Sources The archaeological results show that the relationships between Anatolia and Mesopotamia have been coming before the historical periods. These relationships, which were reflected in written documents from ± 2500s B.C., have increased in both intensity and diversity. The first information on this subject is found in the remaining documents from the Akad State and the New Sumer Age. The findings in this context are generally based on the texts of the kings who ruled in the ancient Mesopotamian cities, either in terms of military victories or reconstruction activities. The main period in which the relationships between Anatolia and Mesopotamia are documented intensively can be listed as the time of Akad, New Sumer, Assyria, Babylonia and Hittite State with an increasing character. In this study, Hahhum city, which emerged as an important center in the relationships of Anatolia and Mesopotamia, will be discussed. The role of this kingdom in commercial and political relationships will be emphasized as long as Kültepe documents allow.
