ESTABLISHMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF ADULTS IN UKRAINE (1917–1941)

Abstract
This article examines the formation of adult education in Ukraine in period 1917–1941, analyzes the components of this process and highlights the peculiarities of the implementation of adult education. The reasons for the emergence of the need for lifelong learning and the substantial improvement of the adult education process are found. The role of the organization “Prosvita” in the education of the adult population is determined. Adult education is considered as an educational life-long learning process aimed at meeting the educational needs of adults, their further socio-professional growth and self-realization.
