Ethnomathematics and Pedagogy of Alternation: Link between mathematical Knowing and social practices

Abstract

This article brings to stage of debate, possible relations between the conceptions of Ethnomathematics and Education Field, putting the mathematical knowledge and social practices as a link of this relations hip in different local urban spaces, with cutting aspects of the pedagogy of alternation of Family Training centers for Switching (CEFFAs). These are institutions that are teaching methodology pedagogy of alternation, systematic process that allows the elements combine time, space and pedagogical concepts in an attempt to combine work activities with school activity. In presenting reflections on theoretical elements of the field of education as a counter point to the model of education offered to the country side; bring in this context of reflection and the political education of Ethnomathematics as a tendency of mathematics education can create opportunities that the confrontation of ideas and sociocultural analysis, pointing out similarities and connect different areas of knowledge. The research was developed at the School House Fisheries (CEPE), located on the island of Caratateua, Outeiro District, Municipality of Belém-PA, whose teaching is aimed at young people and adults from the region of the islands and around school. We tried to follow the reflective aspects of a qualitative study.
