The Ethnomathematics as mediator in the process of reconstruction of the history of peoples, case of craftsmens of village of Guacamayas, Boyacá, Colombia

Abstract

In the process of prepare my graduation project, a first approach with the community make us identified some typical designs on objects produced by the community, when we relate these with some archaeological excavations and archaeological studies made in the area, there were have found many similarities between the current designs and the designs on pottery of indigenous communities that lived in the area, these relationships lead us to reflect on the matter of mathematics as a human construct, social and cultural role of the Ethnomathematics as a field research committed to the rediscovery of the mathematical community that historians have been settled and a-cultures, in that way, we pretend to make one of this form is intended to make a contribution to the recovery of Colombian mathematical heritage
