Ethnomathematics pedagogy: a proposal for teaching mathematics in basic education

Abstract
The reflections presented in this article are part of a proposal for a reorientation in mathematics education curriculum which advocates the use of mathematical knowledge experienced by students in their community as a subsidy to the methodological process of teaching and learning of school mathematics. To carry out this proposal in the educational field, I sought legal grounds, among which the National Curriculum Parameters, which propose only be a reference document for schools organize their curriculum proposals. In this sense, joined the blocks of content in the National Curriculum Parameters of elementary school mathematics to mathematical knowledge of a community of growers of Natal/RN.
