Abstract
The article deals with the ethical and legal issues of euthanasia, investigates euthanasia through the prism of the right to death, somatic human rights and patients' rights. The article considers the issues of philosophical and religious perception of euthanasia. The legal regulation of euthanasia at the interstate level and international is analyzed. The recommendations of the World Medical Association on euthanasia are analyzed. The recommendations of the Council of Europe on euthanasia are described. The approach of the European Court of Human Rights to euthanasia has been investigated.
