Euro-integration encourages the investments to environmental protection and quality management

Abstract
Entering European Union and Euro-integration brought many different environmental care and protection requirements for business enterprises and governmental institutions. Big attention must be paid especially to the atmosphere protection and quality management. The authors of the article analyze Lithuanian and Polish national investments to environmental protection (since 2004) regarding to the level of emission of pollution that must be reduced according to Eropean Union requirements. The research also compares Lithuanian and Polish public sector quality management types and measures. The study also includes the comparis on of ISO and EFQM models of quality because of big variety met in them. Big attention is paid to the European Union given support to increase the development of quality management (financed by ESF; Priority 4: "Strengthening the Administrative Capacity and Efficiency of Public Administration"). The research helped to find out that the attention paid to the environmental protection investments is too little in both countries.
