The Dependence of Child Arterial Bood Pressure on Their Antropometry
Journal Title: Profesinės Studijos: Teorija ir Praktika - Year 2006, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
We have measured antprometric data of the 10-12 year old pupils and their arterial blood pressure before physical exercices and after exercices. The aim of the research was to investigate the connections of the antropometric and blood pressure data and to find which data in each group represents these dependencies. Usually the statistical relations are investigated by simple or multiple regression methods. But even multiple regression decribes the connection between group of factors and single factor of the other group. We used the canonical correlation method that enabled to investigate the conections between two groups of factors, i.e. antropometric factors and blood pressure measurements. By using canonical correlation and factor analysis methods factors from antropometric data group and blood pressure group that statistically implementes mutual dependence between these groups were chosen.
